ESA Business Applications offers funding and support to businesses from any sector who intend to use space (satellite navigation, earth observation, satellite telecommunication, space weather, space technologies) to develop new commercial services.

Applications are open all year and businesses can either apply to a thematic opportunity (see website) or submit an open application.

In this session Ann Swift, Regional Ambassador for the ESA Business Applications Programme will

1. give examples of existing ESA funded projects
2. outline the initial steps required to submit your application
3. identify where you can get help
4. explain how to pitch your ideas direct to ESA to get invaluable feedback prior to going to full application

She will of course be happy to answer any questions you may have. Please note Ann is based here in the region and is happy to visit any company who is interested in applying for ESA Business Applications funding.

About Ann Swift

Ann is the Regional Ambassador for the ESA Business Applications Programme. The purpose of the UK Ambassador Programme is to raise awareness of the ESA Business Applications funding instruments and through this to identify, promote and deliver a regular supply of Feasibility Study and Demonstration scale projects under these respective programmes.

Ann also runs the South Coast Centre of Excellence in Satellite Applications based at the University of Portsmouth.
