SoXSA presents: Ofcom – supporting Scotland in space

SoXSA Ofcom

Date: 7 May 2019

Time: 10:30am – 2pm

Venue: Technology & Innovation Centre, 99 George Street, Glasgow G1 1RD

The UK, and Scotland in particular, has a vibrant space start up community. The range of services that can now be delivered from small, micro- and pico-satellites is astonishing. And yet, we know that understanding how regulations apply to your novel services can be challenging. In addition, the timelines for securing spectrum access can sometimes catch operators out especially given how rapidly you can design, build and launch these satellites.

Ofcom’s space team is excited to present a short course to help you through the process. We are also keen to meet you one-to-one so that we can learn more about your business and help spot any potential problems early.

This event is suitable for established companies, SME’s, universities, and anyone new to the satellite filing/earth station licensing process.
